After a bit of stepping back and trying to get some perspective, with Jessi's help, and a few big signs from the universe (such as being awarded work study but no Pell Grant for summer classes), I've decided that I'll be taking a break from school this summer. What I'll do about fall and the subsequent pace of my completion of my B.S. will have to be decided after I see what happens in the meantime. I will be spending the summer working - possibly even going back to teaching bd. The teaching fits in with my eventual career plans - yes, related to my major, even...- and will give me an opportunity to see if it can be of any financial benefit to supporting my bd involvement.

We are losing one of our troupe members. I am sad to see her go, but I completely understand her decision. And, as it happens, she is not the only one going through an analysis of her priorities and needs. I believe it's happening to everyone in our troupe right now, so, really, this couldn't have come at a better time. And...just because she isn't going to be with us all the time (you will visit once in a while, won't you?) that doesn't mean she won't still be our friend and sister.

Like sands through the hourglass.... [cue music] Does anyone have any naproxen? Don't mind me - I just have the close to the end of the semester "crunch time blues." I'm SOOOO looking forward to the winter break - I need to rest and recharge. If I can just hang on for a few more weeks....
