This life with all it's pain and heart break is also worth every tear,breath,sob of pain... For that one cry of joy. that smile, the smallest of moments when we know we are alive.When we see the joy of it all. I thank Goddess for every horrid and wonderfule day of it.

2nd Saturday Art Show

This saturday as many in Sacramento know is the Second Saturday Art Walk in Midtown and along DelPaso Blvd. When the galleries,cafes,and street corners are home to the newest creations of Sacramento's artistic minds. This Saturday the 12th I was asked to perform and show my work along side other local artist in a one night show at Del Paso Works 1001 DelPaso Blvd. begining at 6:00pm. The event is free to the public and will include works by students and perfetional artist alike.

I found for the first time in a very long while,the feeling of quiet stillness we seldome come across outside of some spiritual observence or retreat from the modern world. Nothing exceptional took place today or any other day this week.But for what ever reson when I woak up early to go to yoga and it was still dark outside, I felt good.Not rushed not stressed about what I had to do today, just good. Something shifted and that sence of calm that I normaily only feel after yoga, in cricle or meditation was already there with me.In that ungoddessly houre of the morning I had found somthing.Every once in a long while you get a feeling that it's all okay. And as I opend my door and took afew breaths of cool air, It was. As fleeding as this feeling is I am thankful for it. Blessed Be.

No dancer becomes a superstar after one lesson and most artists I know (including myself) spend years perfecting there work. Why I need more yoga!

I've noticed a patterne when ever I go a period of time without it. 1.My mood gets shity. 2.I don't dance as well. 3.I stress myself out over the little shit 4.I don't seem to get my drawings done and have a harder time geting ideas out. 5.My body stopes coperating. Rather than make a goal that I won't stick with I'm just aiming for one or more sun salutations a day for the next week. I still don't know how I let myself go so long without practicing.It's not like I don't have time or space to roll out my mat.Now seems to be as good a time as any, and if I wait and make it my new years resolution I'll never do it.

I have been feeling inferior to almost eveyone untell I asked who decides what this word means and who it apllies to. I may not be as good of a dancer as my teacher or as good an artist as the man siting next to me in portrate drawing.But that is why my teacher is my teacher and the man next to me may be beter with a pencil but I can still do a mean charcole portate. When it comes to the things I do I am the best I can be at this time and I will only get beter with time. We all have things to learn but we are inferior to no one!
