Monkey in Gibraltar and Me
I spent almost 3 weeks in Spain Summer of '07. One of the highlights was going to the Rock of Gibraltar (not technically Spain). This is the only place in Europe that has free-ranging monkeys and one was prompted to jump on my shoulder for this picture. They were brought from Africa in at least 2 waves, the last being ordered by Churchill because there is a legend saying that if the monkeys die out that Gibraltar will fall from the British.
