Well as you can see I'm rarely on here. Shame on me.
Last blog post was about spring! Now it's winter.

Today was supposed to be a day for Magnus and I to just hang out and go do something fun.
On my morning jaunt for QT coffee. (uh, yeah)...first I had to scrape the ice off my windshield and then it took a while to get my ice wheels under me while driving. Luckily it's Saturday morning and there weren't many cars on the road. :-D
Well...looks like we'll be cleaning and putting up Christmas decorations instead. WOOHOO!

Happy Christmas everyone!

Yes, I know my bio says "opinions rarely offered" but a friend of mine sent this to me and it's something I feel strongly about. While I know the program it comes from is fictional, the message is not.

I cannot stand people that use the Bible to promote hatred.

I am a Christian because I believe in Christ, and I believe in many of the teachings found in the Bible. I also believe the intelligent human being should be able to decipher from its pages that which is good and right.

Just listen.

I wrote this to a friend earlier:

On my way home Friday evening in the rain, sleet, awesome lighting and fabulous thunder I had the privilege of seeing the end of a rainbow. Or the beginning of one. Either way, it ended on the highway in front of me and just to the right a little touching the trunk of the Pontiac traveling in that lane.

I know there is a perfectly good scientific explanation for it...but I cannot help but think that person was truly blessed that day.

And perhaps myself as well for getting to see it.

The Table Salt Comment

I've had a couple questions about the table salt comment earlier. Here's the story.

At work one day, I was filling in for our Customer Service person who receives all the customer comments via email and US post. I was opening the snail mail...the first of which was a pickle slice a kid sent us because the holes in it formed a smiley face. (He thought it was cool). The second one I opened had table salt in it. As I peeked further into the envelope I saw animal hair. My first thought was "wow! someone found animal hair in their table salt...ew!" Then I read the letter, which was written in crayon and said some pretty nasty and threatening things. Needless to say at that point, the "table salt" that had spilled out on my desk suddenly became a "granular substance". Furthermore...after my report, the building was locked down and the hazmat crews were called in. Hense "all hell breaks loose." It certainly was an interesting experience to say the least.

It's funny how something can go so quicly from simple "Table Salt" to a "Granular Substance" these days!
