*sniff-sniff*
His scent is the aroma of ancient times - pasts revisited.
He smells of time immemorial.
Or, it could just be the extra onions he had with his lunch.
His mastering of astral projection is amazing. I awoke with a start to see him standin' at the foot of my dog bed last Saturday night, munchin' on a punget Vieux Boulogne cheese and red onion samich and holdin' a map of Egypt. Thankfully, he was fully dressed. He suddenly disappeared into vapor! Unfortunatey, he left his smelly samich behind . . .
Aside from unannounced intrusions, I truly adore all that captures the true essence of this wonderful man. Seriously.

Liber Oz (Liber LXXVII) is the O.T.O. manifesto of the rights of man, written by Aleister Crowley in 1941 in words of one syllable. (It may be read at lib.oto-usa.org/libri/liber0077.html ) Here is a remarkably similar manifesto, authored by Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce over a half-century earlier. Another Thelemic saint?
"Treat all men alike.
Give them all the same law.
Give them all an even chance to live and grow.
All men were made by the same Great Spirit Chief.
They are...

Open at random any novel by Robert A. Heinlein, and you'll likely find a gem of wisdom on the page that you'll want to write down for future reference. Here are a few Heinlein quotes, in no particular order, that I've jotted down in recent months:
* Yield to temptation. It may not pass your way again.
* One man's theology is another man's belly laugh.
* If you would know a man, observe how he treats a cat.
* Always cut the cards.
* Man must reach for the stars, else he will w...

"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid."

It's been said that there are four reasons why anyone does anything: Money, sex, power and love. I'd like to suggest a fifth: curiosity.
