As many of you know, there is going to be an all-ages Boogie Party on March 15th. (Remember Animal Kingdom and Flight? Remember the Big white Pyramid Tent on the Esplanade at Burning Man? Yeah that was the Boogie! ) We are going to have the Balinese Monkey Chant, Breakbeat Buddha, The Yogoman Burning Band, Michael Manahan, Lucas Hicks calling Square Dancing, Jeremy Ball, and more!

What some of you might not know, is that I am the volunteer coordinator for the event!

I am looking for lovely folks volunteer to ho themselves out to the boogie for the event. In the name of a good time, give yourself over to me and I will pimp you out for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. If you help out the crew for 2 hours or more, then you can get into the event for free. Though if you have the means, we would still gratefully accept your donations too!

I hope that whether you feel like volunteering or not, you will come out and boogie with us. But if you want to really be a part of the boogie! and get to know some great folks and your community at large, volunteering is a great way to do it. We will have tons of fun, listen to great music all night long, and dance dance dance. Let me know if you are into it! And what tickles your toes.

The main two areas are security/door shifts, and of course clean up afterward. With door shifts, the main thing will be checking to see that people are in fact wrist banded, having a great time, and not infringing on someone else's good time. With clean up, the main thing will be partying til the end, drinking some chai or coffee, and plugging in at the end to help us out with breaking down and moving out of the space.

I do have a handful of shifts left for taking money and tickets, greeting, and wrist banding people at the door.

To volunteer: send me an email about what type of shift you might want and what bands you cannot stand to miss. I will try to schedule you around (not during) your fave music.
