I have been there so many times!!! Currently am there actually. I find if I take a small break from dancing, I end up missing it after awhile and come back to it feeling fired up to dance again.

Thanks guys! I talked to my husband about it and in tradition of all boys; he tried to fix "the problem". Never agian will I make that mistake. I felt worse than I did before I spoke to him. He apologized and took me to see the new Harry Potter movie. I am feeling a little better now.

Belly dance blues...
Nissa, I am totally there with you. I have been in this same place for a while myself now. This week-end you must come to the Ladies Only Drum Circle at my house from 7-10 pm. this saturday the 4th of August. This is what this event is all about. We often become distracted from who we are which leads to this ultimate self doubt of what we already accomplished leading us to question our own abilities. Please come and dance and drum and bring a pot luck dish to share. I am so looking forward to having you attend. I miss seeing you. Also too please let Sue Ellen know as well. Maybe you both can join in the fun!
Hugs and Blessings! Sally |

I know a lot about this Nissa. I have gone through this Soooo Many Times on the drum it is insane. But I have found that mostly it is a creativity barrier. The key to breaking through it is to find just one move or technique you don't know how to do but really like. Then you study it and let making that move be your goal. Once you have it down then you learn how to blend your new thing into your usual stuff. This gives you a motivation. Just make sure that whatever you choose to study or attempt is not too far away from your attainability. If it is it can have the reverse effect and de-motivate you. Then when you do succeed you'll have a new invigorated pride.
