An outlaw lives for that moment in time-when love can be his, till he heads down the line.
A hit and run lover, he'll always get beat-
Cause you get what you give when loves on the street.
It ain't that he's there just for the thrill-
And many times leaving, takes all of his will.
Because love has those rules, and with that he can't live-
Now he's better alone, till he learns how to give.
So he stays in the saddle, and never looks back-
Keeps his hat on his head, not on the rack.
Tomorrow he'll go, with the rise of the sun-
Righteous to all, loyal to none.
He desperately searches, for what, he's not sure-
Although one thing he'll say....his soul seeks a cure.
His daddy taught him. that trust is no game-
To give as you get, and be proud of your name.
His mama loved him, and oh how she tried-
But the rebel within him, was along for the ride.
The horizon called, and wouldn't wait-
These long lonely trails, seem his endless fate.
It wasn't long ago, he'd gave all that he could-
To a woman who told him he would have to be good.
He'd found in her all of God's best-
With her at his side, "Fuck all the rest."
Their souls became one, a love to the end-
Standing by strong-each other's best friend.
He drank of her body, as so much fine wine-
His temple of worship, sweet secrets to find.
They shared all they knew, and sought to know more-
She'd given him peace, as never before.
He wanted it all, for himself and for her-
He'd find a way to it, of that he was sure.
He'd decided to change, no more rolling the dice-
Only to find, he couldn't hang with the price.
How a outlaws blood, can't be denied-
He'd have what he wanted, or die as he tried.
He did all he could, but his patience wore thin-
He knew of a way, he wanted to win.
He'd been slowed down, but that life he can't stand-
So he hit the door-with his gun in his hand.
He'd wanted to find her, and tell her his plight-
But he knew what she'd say, so he left in the night.
He ran amok, and took all that he could-
He hit on a run, and the money was good.
The life was danger, so he stayed from the pad-
And all his woman heard, was that her man had gone bad.
She tried to reach him, and he heard her pleas-
But his life was now like, the wind in the trees.
He had tried his damndest, but he couldn't go square-
And to pull her down with him, just wouldn't be fair.
He knew his days were numbered, that he borrowed from time-
So he lived for the moment, and spent every dime.
The law knew him well, and wanted his ass-
And he knew in his heart, the good times had passed.
But he stayed down for his. and he couldn't stop now-
He'd never trade his guns, for the yoke and the plow.
The day finally came....there was no way out-
If he moved for his gun, they'd kill him, no doubt.
His mind flashed his life, all the good and the bad-
And he thought for a moment, if he'd died, he'd be glad.
From the depths of his soul, came the will to survive-
He'd pay for his play, but he'd still be alive.
They booked him real bad, and gave him his time-
He left out the courtroom just starting a dime.
In a matter of days, he was off to the pen-
Not sure if he'd raise up....if, how or when.
Out on the mainline, he hooked up real tough-
The bro's hung together, when the going got rough.
He carried himself righteous, he could walk any tier-
And was known on the yard, as a man without fear.
He thought of her often, how she'd done all she could-
Didn't know how he'd face her, but he knew that he would.
So as he got short, he shot her a kite-
He made no excuses, cause that wouldn't be right.
He copped to his problems, and to the fool that he was
How the chaos within him, affects all that he does.
He gauranteed nothing, no promises made-
But he wanted to see her, when his dues were all paid.
So he waited awhile, and finally came the reply-
His heart skipped a beat, that he couldn't deny.
She said she still loved him, and how it tore at her heart-
How it took her these years to get a new start.
She talked of her pain, and how she understood-
But the last line she wrote was..."but your no damn good."
Her words made him feel like a broke-dick-dog,
But it didn't take him long, to come up through the fog.
When the gate swung open and they kicked him out-
He had a better handle, what his life was about.
Smiling on him for days- only to cry the next-
He promised himself, to make the best of the rest.
He knew he was bad, but that bad could be good-
He'd go with the flow, and live all that he could
Wherever he goes there's good things in wait-
So he'll stay on the line, and rush to his fate.
He'd learned from the life, and the message was clear-
A scared man can't have nothing, if he lives with his fear.
So he'd get him a ride, keep his head in the wind-
And journey to adventure, and spots he hasn't been.
Cause that outlaw blood, it can't be denied-
You gotta just grip....and hang on for the ride.

Follow your dreams
Take one step at a time
Don't settle for less
Just continue to climb
Follow your dreams
If you stumble don't stop
Keep your eyes on your goal
Press on to the top
For only on top can we
see the whole view
Can we see what weve done
and what we can do
Can we then have the vision
to seek something new

My Testimonials

Unsu...

From Bishop Timothy Price:

Thank You For Being A Friend
( Andrew Gold )

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down a road and back again
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a Cadillac
Whatever you need any time of the day or night

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

And when we die
And float away
Into the night
The milky way
You'll hear me call
As we ascend
I'll say your name
Then once again

Thank you for being a friend
