My Recent Activity

Blessed Winter Solstice (blog entry) I got home at 1 am last night after 16 hours of travel, absolutely brutal for someone with fibromyalgia but I got to see my family which boosted my spirit. It's all about balance I suppose!

Winter Solstice Presents (blog entry) My family does Christmas, something I really don't enjoy at all, but the great thing is my sisters do celebrate the pagan holidays as well so I made separate presents for the Winter Solstice. I made my older sister snowflake necklace with stars (s... read more

Winter in my bones (blog entry) On Vancouver Island, we usually have the mildest temperatures and a lot of rain. We have our own rainforest even so you can imagine my surprise and horror at being hit with a brutal snowstorm. I have tried to keep a good attitude about it, "knowin... read more

Kitchen Magick (blog entry) I've had a love-hate relationship with food for most of my life. I am one of the pickiest eaters you will ever meet and get so frustrated that food just isn't up to par. It's like I have these giant expectations and the food just never compares to... read more

My sisters really loved their winter solstice presents which I was thrilled about, it's really wonderful to give something I worked on myself. My Mom treated me to a trip down Queen Street in Toronto to five bead stores within the same block, absolutely fantastic. I've been making so much jewellery late... read more

My family does Christmas, something I really don't enjoy at all, but the great thing is my sisters do celebrate the pagan holidays as well so I made separate presents for the Winter Solstice. I made my older sister snowflake necklace with stars (sorry, don't have a photo ATM) and my younger sister this Leo-inspired candle. I was so happy when I found that goddess charm. Wish I could say I made it myself but...

One day I will learn the art of candlemaking but for now, I carved the runes out... read more

On Vancouver Island, we usually have the mildest temperatures and a lot of rain. We have our own rainforest even so you can imagine my surprise and horror at being hit with a brutal snowstorm. I have tried to keep a good attitude about it, "knowing" that it'll probably melt soon and I can once again be out and about and free. It's been a week and there is still tons of snow!

I moved out here from Ontario because of my fibromyalgia. After going to doctors for five years, not knowing what's ... read more

I've had a love-hate relationship with food for most of my life. I am one of the pickiest eaters you will ever meet and get so frustrated that food just isn't up to par. It's like I have these giant expectations and the food just never compares to what I think it will taste like, even when I go out and spend a ton of money.

It turns out, I have expensive taste. Literally.

I need super high quality food and a lot of love attention has to go into my food. As a result, I have been teaching... read more
