My name is Asad Khan, I am 22 years old where I just graduated Rutgers University dual majoring in Economics and Theater Arts. I have studied religion, philosophy, psychology, cultural anthropology, and various other subjects. I recently have stayed with Shipibo Shaman in the Amazon River Basin where I drank ayahuasca for healing and visions. I have also had several kundalini awakenings and expereinced many entheogens, which have been the catalyst for allowing me to reach my "God head" or "Christ consciousness". I currently am making a film called "One Breathe" about unity, co-existing, sacred sound vibrations, holistic medicine, amazonian herbs, clinical psychedelic research, and various other topics involving our species evolving on this planet. My philosophy is that everything has a life force or energy. The trees, our words, our thoughts, laughter, an orange is all energy. The term "God" is simply a word that in my opinion means the all encompassing energy that spans out into infinite space and time. Therefore, with this it could be said that we also have divinity inside us that can be awakened by self realizing that we are all inter-connected on a multi-dimensional level. As we are continuing to evolve in 3 planes: 1) Biological- having a better understanding of our DNA. Currently only 3 % of our DNA is known, which is our genes. 97% is called "junk" DNA, where we don't have an understanding of this. The second part of this biological evolution is conscious consuming, including living holistically-naturally 2) Psyche- evolving in this plane by understanding our selves first: Exploring our sub consciousness and being aware of our conscious day to day lives. The second part to this evolutionary plane is decoding the matrix we live in by understanding symbols and patterns. Evolution in this stage allows oneself to become in tune with your thoughts and why they formulated and also other peoples thoughts-*telepathy*. Synchronousites start to occur where you notice these patterns and moments of in tuneness and oneness. 3) Spiritual evolution: this plane consists of breathe. In all religions/ancient traditions you look at the mystics of each religion and linguistically breathe and God have been synonymous. Stanislav Grof noted in i.e. Hinduism- prana, Christianity- Gnosis-Pneuma, Islam- rue, Judiasm- rue, Chinese- Chi, Japanese- Qi, the list goes on. The second part of spiritual evolution is to see how everything has energy/spirit and should have a sacred respect. The natives knew that by treating water and the earth as divine entities that they could have a better cosmic understanding. I feel that as we start to UNDERSTAND each other, regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, spiritual association; we shall see that no matter what the most human underlying thing is that we all are reflections of the divine. This is becoming more and more evident in the "ARTS". A great man once told by the name of Alex Grey, that the next step of our evolution will be in the arts, enveloping all of the arts: music, painting, poetry, writing, etc... We shall see that beyond language we can all relate to each other in this platform. Therefore, through art we can create a community and see that no matter what class we belong to that we all have "inherent" talents. I feel that whatever your talent may be if you were to share it with the rest of the community on forums like this than you are doing your part. You are giving back the universe by sharing yourself. Since I feel that everything is energy than you can do your part to giving back to the grid just by SMILING at another person and sending them positive energy. That person will ripple that emotion onto someone else. "Energy can never be created nor destroyed, just transferred". Thus, the ripple effect has begun and the global community is us, the inhabitants on this planet. We are already here. The Hopi Indians once said, "We are the ones we are waiting for." So now all we have to do is realize that we are all "one". We are all brothers and sisters and our mother is the planet earth. Heaven and hell is on earth and it is up to us how we want it to be. No one is asking you to save the entire world by yourself. However, by taking one small step a day you are making an immense difference. One random act of kindness a day is doing so much. Planting one seed is doing so much. My vision for Global community is to evolve individually and collectively as a society. Everything has a spirit and should be treated with respect. Anima. We share the same DNA as the trees. It breathes in our Carbon Dioxide and we breathe it's Oxygen. Synergy! So let us not exclude animals and plants from our Global Community!The concept of the project is to send the message of unity and human understanding. Topics include: shamanism, sound vibrations, music, co-existence, holistic medicine, breath-work, energy healing, bio-technology, native ways of living, and several other relevant topics. About One Breathe. This film will depict how we are living in an era that demands immediate attention to our 3 planes of existence: 1) psychological 2) biological 3) Spiritual basis; all interconnecting with our breathe- our driving force that gives us pulse. This film is still in it's infancy, but as time goes on it will organically crystallize. "One breathe" will contain interviews from artists, authors, shamans, healers, doctors, clinical researchers, organizational leaders, native elders, the youth, and others who wish to "be the change we seek" by taking active methods in assuring a more vibrant life path. "Let's keep evolving as the earth keeps revolving" All the proceeds will go to suffering children, Darfur, cancer research, and other institutions. A little bit more about me.... I was born in Queens, NY and have lived in Long Island, Texas, Florida, Pakistan, and Jersey. I have met people from all walks of life. Life is all about experience. I love just interacting with people as well other animals and nature. We all share the same DNA and breathe. I have worked with children, alzheimers patients, schitzophrenic patients at JFK. All of my grandparents died before I turned 7 and I turn to the elderly for that warmth. They have so much wisdom and experience to offer. You can feel it in their eyes. I traveled to Peru in March where I drank ayahuasca- a sacred medicinal brew used for healing and stayed with Shipibo shaman in the Amazon River Basin. I am fascinated by other native traditions and I have my cultural anthropology class and other sources to thank for that. Thank you National Geographic magazine! The one thing I would really like to share with everyone about me is that I am a human being that wishes to understand people from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds and regardless of their age or color or gender. My heart is truly open and because it is I feel utter euphoria and bliss when I engage someone's eyes. I am very open and receptive to differing ideas and belief systems. Because in the end all that matters is that we can co-exist peacefully.
