Yes my friends, I have survived a rattlesnake bite. I was fencing my newly acquired 40 acres when I apparently invaded my little friends space and angered him to the point of self defense! I was the victor however as this pest is no longer living in "my" space! Unfortunatley due to my children playing in the area the creature was sent to the next existence. I was lucky as the bite was a "dry" one and I only suffered two very small closely spaced puncure wounds and one night of severe chills, achy joints and marginally low BP. No I didn't seek medical attention as I didn't develop severe local symptoms or signs. I only had a small area of discoloration around the wound and it was not progressing. It is now three days post insult and I am doing much better. The generalized weakness and fatigue is getting better.
