Be David's friend.
You'll like it. October 14, 2004
David Kaye is a man deeply and passionately in love. Very rarely do you ever see someone so honestly smitten. The lucky object of his affections....The city of SAN FRANCISCO.
And like any good lover he knows her completely, lives for her moods, and would put everything on the line to defend her honor. Her music, art, politics, history, health and betterment are always on the very front of his mind. Go ahead... have a talk with him. You'll even see it in his eyes.

"Ever since Safeway, Kroegers, and other nationwide chains have begun to offer cloth shopping bags to reduce shopping bag waste, our numbers are down," according to Bishop Joey of the First Ch... read more

I'd like to say thanks to the people who came to last Friday's show and the people who performed, notably Lord Loves A Working Man, Japonize Elephants, and Knees & Elbows. I've received many many positive comments in the days since, and it makes me feel really good to have been able to help expose people to some of the most brilliant performers the Bay Area has to offer.

A couple people wrote me asking, hey, what about legal FMs? Well, there are still a few spaces to shoe-horn in legal FMs. They'd be low-power and not within a number of miles of San Francisco.

For example, a group applied for an FM in Moss Beach (that's near Half Moon Bay) a few years ago, and the FCC gave them a license. At this point it's largely a matter of building it out. The station, KLSI will operate on 89.3 with 80 watts. The antenna is directional so as not to interfere wit... read more
Richard Tuck is a guy who has always been in love with showbiz. Back in the day I used to go visit his Garage Roxie in El Cerrito, a garage converted into a movie theatre, with real full-sized projectors and a screen with curtains that opened and closed.
