Moved up to leeds in the late eightys from the midlands.
You know the tail of young boy follows sweetheart , well thats me.
Wife went to Ilkley College for a few years and when she finished i moved up to be near her.
We rented a right little squat up Great Horton Road in Bradford off a pakistani landlord who couldn't speak a word of english...oh what fun.
He did know how to count money though...funny that !
Anyway after that we moved to Whetley lane in Bradford into a new refurbished two bedroom flat.....oh heaven... and then came the property boom.....wow...$$$$$
Of course we sold the flat after making some good friends and good money and moved across the road into an old refurbished Almshouse.
Nice while it lasted but we had our first child there and when she was about three we decided to look at the local schools..
This was a big NO NO from me and the wife 'who is a teacher' ,anyway the local infant school was about 98% asian kids.
Do not take this the wrong way .....i am not racist... i just believe eveyone has the right for a fair start in life and all parents want the best for their children.........
Now the thing about Bradford at this time was that all the asian kids were not taught english until they started school at the age of four or five.
So our child we decided would have been kept back in abillity as she didnt have to learn english.....
So we decided to move and move we did to sunny Pudsey.
Pudsey is a really nice little town between Braford and Leeds
So this is where me, my wife and two daughters live, and very happy too.......
