I really wanted to leave work yesterday. My boss told me it wouldn't be a problem if I needed to, but I fought through an entire day because I would at least have today off. This morning, as I was sleeping off a night of partying with coworkers, I received a phone call. Our part-time desk worker at one of the hotels decided he wasn't going to come to work today. A word of advice to everyone. If you get involved in an altercation, no matter how minor, do not retaliate, and do not leave the scene until after police have taken a statement. A friend of mine is now facing attempted murder charges because he was operating on no sleep and very little food in a 48 hour period, pushed his son's teacher after first being pushed himself, and left in disgust.
