Aside from my usual list of women that kick ass...Oprah, Bjork, Lauren Hill, Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Sharon Kihara, Ciara, and many more, I have found a new hero!

On Friday we took our first break dance lesson ever. It was so much fun! Being that I've been involved in hip hop so much growing up, break dancing is something I've wanted to learn my whole life. I'd been to a few competitions and junctions to watch. I think it's such an amazing dance form. And not just the acrobatic parts either.

Gabe (my second best friend) is a very very skilled b-boy. He used to tell me that at first it was all about the tricks and flips and spins when he started out. Then he told me that he realized later that to be a great breaker you had to be able to DANCE well. It isn't all just about doing impossible tricks, it's even more about the dancing.

Our teacher on Friday opened up the lesson with a tid bit of history and categories on breaking. Anyway, he went on and on about this one girl named, Pandora. He insisted that we look her up on You Tube. I'm glad that I did. She has given me a new found inspiration. Her showmanship is blaring, her skill is insane, and her rhythm is amazing! My favorite thing about this girl is the little smiles she busts out with while she's dancing. She's very aggressive in her dance but pleasant in her smile. I love it! This is definately a dance form I want to learn and try my best at. Now more than ever since I've seen Pandora's videos. She is a new addition to my "Women that Kick Ass" list.
