It was an interesting weekend. Got to have some more of my kids come along with us. Got to spend the weekend with burner friends/family and do our 1st BDTR. I have to honestly say it wasnt what I hoped it would be. There was no infasturcture in palce for emergancies or issues due to heat and drinking. No one actually knew how many peopel went on the river or did checks to make sure everyone came back safe. The landing area wasnt marked well and several went on down stream. Lucky the neighbors down stream helped shuttle people back to the property. Saturday evening after the float one lady was left passed out in the grass and couldnt be woke up. Finally several bystanders grabbed her and carried her to the kiddy pool. Only then did she start moving around alittle and responding to people rubbing her arms and talking to her. Her camp mates said she was find and kept on partying. Someone else had a huge fire in the wood about 10 ft from tents and kept throwing more and more tree limbs w/leaves on it. Murdock finally had to go over and ask them to quit before the fire got out of hand. This was to be a kid friendly event and posted about nudity rules but yet several people were skinny dipping in the kiddie pool.Several people asked who was in charge and how come there were no rangers walking around.The pot luck for saturday fell apart after the meat didnt show and finally got halfway put together by others at 10:30 at night. I was dissapointed with result of the weekend and probably wont go back. At least I got to go to one to see the adventure
