August is a very dear friend and a supremely talented musician. Orignally from our home state, August relocated to Asheville after performing for several months with Gypsy Red Tribe to pursue his endeavor to paint and to show in local art galleries there. Though having been gone now for some time, whenever we have the opportunity to meet again, it is as though we never parted.
August is perhaps the single most intuitive musician and artist I have ever had the honor of performing with. He seems quite capable of playing any instrument that humankind has invented, and is an unquestionably masterful performer on the accordian, an instrument that he can make vocalize more beautifully than the human voice itself. He has performed with countless numbers of performers and groups, and I am honored that our own Gypsy Red Tribe is numbered among them. Though he cannot always be present for all of our local performances, I am indubitably proud to say that August is still very much an active member of our tribe.
I feel undeservingly fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet August and to continue to perform with him. Very rarely does such a symbiosis such as ours exist between two musicians, if I may call myself such, and even with so little time together, we still seem to synchronize perfectly when we are performing.
I here express my most deep reverance for so dear a friend and so capable a musician. It is truly wonderful that we are brothers bound by our music.
