Sun Sag, Aquarius Moon, Cancer Rising Thunderbird Clan Year of da Rabbit Yellow Cosmic Star I endure in order to beautify Transcending art I seal the store of elegance With the cosmic tone of presence I am guided by the power of free will I am a Waldorf teacher living and teaching at a Steiner inspired charter school in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. This is my third school in three years, Robert's Creek, Pahoa, and now Medford. Sagittarians don't have roots, we have hooves. Waldorf is simultaneously my blessing and my curse. It takes almost everything I have and gives me most everything that I need. We are providing therapy for new humans in a fractured and splintered society obsessed with materialism and independence (What a paradox, as if more "stuff" gave us more "freedom"). We strive to create whole and integrated humans by educating the head, hands and heart in balance with each other. In other words, we focus on music, singing, dancing, painting, drawing, listening, creating, knitting and building with the same emphasis as the language of letters and numbers. I attempt to allow the music of the celestial spheres to float through my classroom in subtle and not so subtle ways. I struggle to maintain my own life independent from my school and my students. I strive to practice my Vipassana, Yoga, Qi Gong and Reiki on a daily basis. Luckily alot of what I require in my life is provided by my vocation. I'm pretty stoked to be in the driest part of the PNW! And what a great community! Ecstatic Dance, Dances of Universal Peace, Hula! I think I'm going to like it here.
