My Blog

Vast sky
The crisp desert air
Filling my lungs up
Curvaceous hills
A horizon of light, shadows, and texture
Delicate beauty surrounds
Music is in the landscape
Formations slowly moving through geological time
An intimate knowledge of the soil, where my feet rest
The Joshua Tree rising its limbs into the heavens
A connection to the Earth and above at once
An eternal resonating moment

I am home here on this piece of Earth
Called the Mojave, stretching from Death Valley to the Col... read more

A big thank you to Cameron
and the VegasArtists team for providing the venue and opportunity for
us all to express our art and ideas through this community event,
known as Dark Skies. I reconnected and met so many wonderful people
this time. In every interaction, whether it was an MOD shift,
overseeing Gate operations, volunteer coordination, or building an
icon, it was an amazing experience. But, the icon (the tombstone)
building experience was certainly the most transformative for me... read more

Just an update on all the stuff in my head for the Gate at Dark Skies, our Vegas Burning Man Regional, in just over a week. Another big thanks to all those helping on this! Sometimes just by talking, brainstorming, emailing all of you, I keep adding, shaping, and creating new stuff. Much Love to You All!

Icons and Goth in history and at the Gate

An icon will be located at the gate, titled “A Resurrection of Light”. The Darks Skies Team started using the word “icon” in May of ’05, as... read more
