My rantings

one small step

Jenna's first day of preschool was today. She rode the bus. At four she is riding the bus. She was pretty worried about the experience because she is "allergic to bumps" and didn't know any of the other kids who would be riding, but she got on, trusting my, "You'll have such a great time." I was pretty choked up, but determined not to get emotional in front of the bus driver or my kid.

Coming off the bus, Jenna was all smiles. She had cheetos, rainbow goldfish, and juice as a snack. She liked the blue play-doh.

Ahhhh! What a big day you've both had! It is such an emotional experience, but more so for us Mom's! There's no doubt about it! We put them on the bus and hope and pray ALL DAY that everything is going good for our special little bundle. We don't know the answer until that bus door opens and that smiling little bundle pops out with all those cheetos, rainbow goldfish, and juicy snacks. Then, all we can do is choke it all back while they excitedly tell us about their day. Our babies grow up so fast! What a precious picture! That's one for the scrapbook!

I remember our first day of pre-school, doesn't seem so long ago, but it must have been because we just had the first day of High School. They grow up so fast.
