in the dark unexplored back country of the mind lives a small animal. it different for all of us, but that has more to do with us than it. Like everything, how you look determines what you see. Never the less, this creature knows everything about you. It can tell you the secret words that your grandpa whispered to your grandma, the reasons why you exist. It can tell you of the cosmos and quantum physics, or beetles and funny looking blades of grass. It can tell you of life and death in the blink of its furry little eye.

It is a good thing to know that it is back there, crawling around over our forgotten sticks and stones, remembering our broken bones and our victories with toothy smiles.

As I said before, we all see different creatures when we peer back into this poorly lit space. But I have a good flashlight and when I get my nose at the right angle, I peer way back in there and I see Charles.
