My Daily Rant

Practice what you preach. After my last blog entry I spent a few hours reading through those belonging to my TRIBE mates. The one that 'struck a cord' was Edward's 'Tiny Story Number 47'. *Entertaining I must add!* :) But... I got very curious as to how much an Astronaut get's paid. I wondered how much I'd like to be paid for the job *I was totally stumped!!!*. I've 'surfed around' and I still can't seem to find the answer. What's the job worth? Are they paid per mission and training sessions... read more

What is Blog Rampage?

A simple concept really! *pointed out by Captain Erotica*

Blogs are a form of human information sharing network... a system whereby anyone might easily publish a representation of their own experience in a viewable format by anyone connected to the net.

Any of you that work on your Blogs know that the easiest way to get someone to comment on your Blog is by responding to theirs. I attempt to do that everytime I'm affected by a topic.

Blog Rampage works on the... read more

Album of the Day (Night) *Kate did say it 'shouldn't be listened to during daylight hours'. This is Kate's fourth album.. not quite as good as 'The Hounds of Love' But 'The Dreaming' was Kate's first 'total control' album that she wrote and produced by herself (slightly) under the direction of John Walters. *not a bad thing I might add*... It's a 'bit freaky* but the textures really are 'totally ground-breaking'.... LOVE IT!!!

This is definately not an easy album to listen to! 9/10

Thank's to Bunni for pointing this out. There is a rather bizarre similarity to the Liverpool Ghost story. But the 'time frame' is all wrong. It was not unusual (still isn't) to change the spelling of your surname (Family name) So that could explain that bit. Due to the nature of the stories I feel they are somehow connected. Remember the 'Pickled Baby Barrels shipped to Scotland' on the previous thread? I'll do some more reseach... maybe one was the others Grand-father? These myths are obvio... read more

I'm a sucker for Ghost Stories... This Liverpool based 'Epic' is wonderful. Maybe it's one of the reasons why I love the city so much, Well that and 'The Beatles, OMD, Mathew Street, The Liver Building, the Tate Gallery.... Walking by the Pyramid is weird though.... the list is endless...

Anyway....Here goes a 'Tall Tale or Urban Myth!

One cold foggy Sunday night in the autumn of 1871, 68-year-old Lionel Harland, a respected Rodney Street doctor, left his surgery and walked up Liverpo... read more

Album of the Day. 'the boatman's call'... Well did anyone expect anything different after all the nonsense of yesterday?... This album 'far outshines 'Murder Ballads' or anything recorded with 'The Birthday Party'...

*For you I was raised up, I grew up, I started to understand and now it's all F*cked up! Today your mother took a train to the west with you... but I can still smell your head on my pillow. I'm just suspended in a fishless sea and you're so far from me!!!!*

What did they... read more
