My Testimonials

August 13, 2005
OK, so this is over-due -- welcome to the life of a musician.

Speaking of musicians, I recently had the pleasure of catching the stylings of Lady de lo Simple Songs with friend Mr.J. while on her short west-coast tour. Taking turns performing their original tunes in a Seattle area chai hause, my faith in music & song writers in an age of mass production and targeted comercial creativity has since been renewed. Down to earth & genuine, their sounds are pleasing while revealing chapters of the human experience. SSongs showed some of her musical gifts -- adeptness at guitar, pianio, and wowie can she project her vocals for such a little lady ;D After their set, I walked SS & J around the area their show was at, and while pointing out other venues to try getting booked at for future tours, I found that each of them in person are as down to earth and genuine as their music. The next time SS is in your town -- and when she comes here I hope she brings J again -- go get a nice casual dinner with some friends and be sure to catch her show.

Yep, there ya go, I'm not a reviewer for Butt Rawker or Rolling Stone magazine, just a guy -- another musician -- a real fella who'll step up and say 'SSongs is the real deal -- good music and a good person to boot -- check her out, you'll be pleased'.

This is indeed a very exciting chapter in my life. When I was little, I used to dream of being psychic. I only had my RL Stine and Christopher Pike books to teach me about paranormal activities. Of course this was not exactly an accurate portrayal of what it means to have spiritual gifts, lol. So even though I knew I was gifted at manifesting, incredibly in tune with those around me (painfully so), and unusually gifted at predicting the next big fashion trends (I usually made these prediction... read more

Sorry... I couldn't help the title. I've been doing readings through Tribe email for the last month or so. It's been a really amazing experience. I've gotten positive feedback on every reading so far. Very encouraging!! It's exciting, but I try to contain myself, because from what I have learned, it is very important to not let your ego get too involved with the process. Actually, it needs to be totally out of the way. The positive feedback feels more like encouragement, like I am being told ... read more

Well, the gloomy depression has not lifted and it's been nearly 2 weeks. This is something I have dealt with for over 15 years. I always suffered through the gloomy times, and managed the mildly gloomy times with exercise, yoga, meditation, and healthy food, and recently, medical hemp. Hemp provided great relief for a year, but lately it is making things worse. It unlocks terrible memories in me that leave me feeling anxious and sad for several hours. I've decided to give in to taking an SSRI... read more

This week I was faced with a tough situation. I need a place for my next recital. The retirement home we usually host at is too small for my growing program to hold all of our students, teachers, families, and friends. A good problem, but still, a problem. Several of my students attend a somewhat controversial religious center, and the members of this organization were kind enough to offer their building to me, complete with a PA and Microphones, a warm up room, and a lovely outdoor patio for... read more

So I decided to learn how to do Sound Healing myself. Sound Healing is a modality that uses the human voice to send healing energy into the body to heal physical and emotional ailments. Your own singing voice works as an internal massager. It's fascinating stuff, and being a singer, it makes sense that I am drawn to it.

I bought some books and a DVD and went to work. I feel like I have a good grasp on it, so I decided to try out a more intense training. Wayne Perry, one of the founding fa... read more
