My Testimonials

August 13, 2005
OK, so this is over-due -- welcome to the life of a musician.

Speaking of musicians, I recently had the pleasure of catching the stylings of Lady de lo Simple Songs with friend Mr.J. while on her short west-coast tour. Taking turns performing their original tunes in a Seattle area chai hause, my faith in music & song writers in an age of mass production and targeted comercial creativity has since been renewed. Down to earth & genuine, their sounds are pleasing while revealing chapters of the human experience. SSongs showed some of her musical gifts -- adeptness at guitar, pianio, and wowie can she project her vocals for such a little lady ;D After their set, I walked SS & J around the area their show was at, and while pointing out other venues to try getting booked at for future tours, I found that each of them in person are as down to earth and genuine as their music. The next time SS is in your town -- and when she comes here I hope she brings J again -- go get a nice casual dinner with some friends and be sure to catch her show.

Yep, there ya go, I'm not a reviewer for Butt Rawker or Rolling Stone magazine, just a guy -- another musician -- a real fella who'll step up and say 'SSongs is the real deal -- good music and a good person to boot -- check her out, you'll be pleased'.

Ok, what woman hasn't fretted over at least one body part since adolescence, huh? My woes have always been my stomach and my short stance. No matter how much excercise I've done, or how careful I've been with my diet, the body issues always come up! Logically I can look at myself and know that I am fit and healthy, but that part of my mind that holds on to bad experiences from years ago stll influences my confidence! But not anymore.

I started watching "What Not To Wear" on TLC about... read more

Don't get me wrong, i love teaching, and I enjoy working on my massage clients, but I'm feeling ansy, like I need another direction. I love health and I want to do something in health care. There are many factors to consider: how much schooling is involved, distance or campus learning, job security, and income. I've considered 3 possibilities: nutrition, herbalist, or nursing. I'm not sure which to go for. I love nutrition and herbs, but nursing is health care too, and oh so practical. ... read more

I just started re-reading "8 weeks to optimum health" by Dr. Andrew Weil. I've made a serious decision to go through with the program. Right now I am on week 2. What that means is that I am taking vitamin C every day as well as flax seed oil. I am only eating whole grains and vegatables/fruits, and I have given up dairy products. And after being a strict vegetarian for over 10 years, Dr. Weil has convinced me to start eating fish! Soooo, I have eaten fish once a week since starting this... read more
