about me
I come from a very small sub-tropical island with a population of 600 and I was raised in a very liberal thinking and tolerant but strict family that let me decide everything by myself within tolerable limits and provided guidance.
After some hardship in adolescent, I decided to get out and see the world. Over ten year of self-imposed exile, I am now settled with my progressive-minded husband in Bay Area and some subtly burning philosophy within which I love sharing with people that I like and feel close to. Still trying to fully establish myself as a grown-up but I would also like to keep a little part of myself from when I was 5 years old and let her come out to play sometimes, especially when I go home in BRC. Nomadic life path has given me some confused identities within but I would still consider myself to be primarily Okinawan before claiming any other cultural identities or heritage. Funnily enough, Okinawan people were also maritime nomads who made living out of trading around SE Asia. But at the end of the day, we all come from the same planet, so let's just all be global citizens!! I love to try out new things and laugh and smile to kill as many cancer cells per day as possible for you and for me. Looking to go further and farther with optimism in my heart!!
