Today was one of those days where it seemed like I had stepped squarely into the Shit Sandwich Vortex (SSV) -- that place in the space/time continuum smack dab in the middle of ecstasy and utter desolation. It's not an ultra-dramatic place. Just that place where jack shit seems to go your way. That place where you feel smacked down at every turn to the point that you start doubting why and what you're doing to evoke such negative response..

Thursday morning, 10:10 a.m. I'm sitting at my dining room table while my kids run circles around our downstairs. It's about -10 outside, so the outdoors are not an option.
