I love this time of year, a balance between the cold of Winter, and the Heat of Summer, without the wet of Spring. Delicious abundance of the best tasting fruits and vegetables. All the little animals are scurrying about, busy with seasonal preparations. The lawn quits growing, so I don't have to mow anymore.

But right now I'm on uneasy terms with nature.

I have two pet sod poodles, or prairie dogs as they are more commonly known. They were rescued from a farmer who would have otherwise have poisoned them, by concerned citizens. (an act of compassion that is now illegal) They are similar in size to a Guinea pig, and also similar in that both are actually rodents, while possessing misleading names, and in that both come in different colors. (though prairie dogs only come in brown or white)

So, I'm moving, which is a whole other issue. Of course, there are a few things that the moving company just won't touch, and I seem to have in abundance. Fortunately, I have a 3/4 ton GMC van for Pennsic, which is how I'll be moving my "questionable" things.
