A celebrated instructor and performing artist for over 22 yrs,she combines an extensive background in Oriental Dance with sprinklings from other dance forms. Her wealth of knowledge and experience coupled with a keen mind-body sensitivity allow her bring out the best in her students and to teach all levels and types of dancers. 11:00 - 12:45pm--Mesmerizing Moves for Taxims
Merge with the music using layered undulations, snakey arms, expressive hands and hypnotic vibrations adding pauses, poses and accents in just the right places to create a magical & emotional interpretation.

1:15 -3:00pm-- Sword Dancing with Style-
Use the taksim moves and more while balancing, posing and traveling with the sword. Add some of the backbends, floorwork, on the head spinning and whirling that Rafi'ah is known for. Floorwork and backbends modified for various abilities.

Both classes valuable for all styles of bellydance-Cabaret, Tribal and Fusion...

As if the winds had taken hold of every part of her

And the essence of a heart fulfilled stood naked for all to see.

Posting some writings and poetry from the past and writing some new......needing another outlet besides dance in which to bare my soul....the forces and inner voices are telling me...go for it......but It brings with it a frightening vulnerabilty so I will only start with the safest and prettiest stuff....and then maybe, with more courage, I will say and show more. There are whispers around me saying "it is time"....that speaking of some of my journeys thru life and dance will be beneficial in ways not yet known....

so. prompt me if you dare so I can see how I fare.....help this part of me emerge if it sparks an interest... more stuff on "my space" but can't create a link at the moment.....so look there for the beginnings of some deeper revelations...............thanx-----Rafi'ah
