Sound system for Macy's gig

I brought my system home from the community center, so we can use it next Wednesday. It will accommodate a portable device, but does not have a built in CD player. I will bring it (and cords) to Karma's on Monday so we can try it out.
Today, August 12th is the one year mark of mom's passing. I'm alone and introspective. My sadness still runs deep, as we were very close, not only as mother and daughter, but as friends too. You could say we had the love of a lifetime, and I am so thankful for that.
As the days turn to months, I look for the things that bring joy into my life and leave behind the things that don't. Dancing and music are always my passion, but I'm finding I'm returning to the joys of my earlier years.
