My Testimonials

February 19, 2007
jamie is such a cool dork!

she makes the best sandwiches ever...though she always freaks cause she forgets the pickles! yeah, and who else would wear yukon f-me booots w/a towl and an orange fleece, with a beer in the pocket!

jamie is f'in rad and multifaceted (that's right, not only is she vibrant with bursting energy out there but she's also a hippie/buddha/yoga teacher with all that wisdom..how cool!?). she's got mental acuity AND psychic intuition AND political prowess AND a radiant spirit. a fully hard-headed and ravin' lady.

and she's got the sweetest and handsomest dog in the world (who i'm NOT trying to steal).

jamie's a person i'd never have expected to become friends with, but it's such a beautiful blessing to know her. one of those rare gifts in life that just happens freely and wholesomely unexpectedly.
thanks for all the love and silliness

Oh, what does Jamie mean to me?! Well, if it was not for her, I would be the most jaded "raver"/"hippy" around. Luckily I have her to share my anst, slight aggression, bitchiness, and - most notibly - sarcasim. She understands the humor that comes from my expression of all of the above. I love... I really do... but I am a sarcastic homo. I am what I am!

Of coarse, she's a tasty treat for the eyes... if you're eyes adore boobies and curves! She is a very bright person, both in intelligence and in spirit. Like a naughty little white pixie hopping through the forest. She'll move you're clothes while you're skinny dipping, hide in a bush and giggle while you look frantically and slightly shamefully for your clothes! But it's all out of love!

Although we've only met and hung out for a short time, we have bonded very strongly. I don't think we should maybe live together... as the world may implode from our sarcasim... but we make a killer team when we hang out.

So, here's to the next time we hang out. I think the next time should involve a bottle of yummy wine and then some mischief! Sound good!

Love ya, ya silly girl!

Jamie is an loving person who has a commitment to leave this world a better place than she found it. From what I've seen of Jamie, she is well on her way to accomplish this.

Not only is she hella cute, she's one of the most grounded, intelligent and caring people it's been my pleasure to meet. Seriously, I've seen this girl walk into a crowd and every person she encounters lights up. I suspect she is really a unicorn in disguise, from the land of unicorns, here to spread love and harmony and rainbows. Her one flaw (and this is a big one for me) is that she doesn't drop by nearly often enough for coffee. To summarize, if I could only take 3 things to a desert island I would take my cat, my exercise ball and JJ. (Unless of course I were competing on Survivor, in which case I would leave the cat at home, for we would surely eat him by the 2nd week. Mulligan could come instead.)

Jamie leigh.... This girl rocks the boat honeys!

She is the sassiest, rock starest, funniest chick this side

of town. Serious, this girl has almost made me pee my

pants on several ocassions. I am honoured to be taking

her testomonial virginity. Girl, you have the most

amazing energy that surrounds you and touches

everyone that you encounter. Its almost as if your an

alien sent here from happy planet.... weird....Anyway,

you are the best, and before I forget, you glow like a

yoga teacher!

hey my gentle and lovely people

So i am safe and sound back in Canada, after a pretty intense 11 month stay away, working with slum youth in Kenya. Part of me being back in Canada is securing funding and awareness around our project, GAC, spread some loving and laughter, and to maybe, just maaayyybbbeee be a bridge between these two very different universes of Africa and North America.

so, if you have the time and the desire...go to our new website ofthe ghetto Arts Collective (GAC)! A... read more

hi everyone

i am still in kenya, and am back east of Nairobi. i was trapped for two weeks on a small island in nyanza province. we were safe, but couldn't leave b/c of war.

So i am back, but essentially housebound. am goig crazy. my work and friends are in the slums, but it isn't safe to get there yet. Over 300 000 people are displaced, over 1000 killed, over 1500 women raped. Things are bad. we are trying to get emergency relief efforts going in the slums hardest hit: Mathare, Kibera ... read more

about me
about jamieleigh in a nutshell? that's a big nut!!! : )
A-hem: no.
I'm into THIS MOMENT. I'm here to remind myself every day how precious it is, and quickly it goes. I'm here to be filled with awe with the beauty
around me. I'm here to b-r-e-a-t-h-e-, and i'm here drop in deep. i'm here to offer the same around me.
i'm here to be inspired and astounded, and to inspire and astound.
i'm here for exchange. I'm here to laugh, the deepest belly laugh imaginable, inventable, and then to double it again.
i'm here to use my 'indoor voice'as little as possible!
and to really feel and express, and to ~trust~ . i'm here for truth
- the continual discovery of truth, as we undo the layers and layers of ourselves, and others. like peeling back years of paint under our fingernails.
I'm here to hold the hand of many and really listen,
really hear. i'm here to try and let other people hold my hand, even though that's harder for me.
I 'm here to let the bullshit just slide aside. to
watch it fall, like raindrops sliding down a pane of glass.
I'm struggling with the concept of letting Samsara go...and that's so much easier said than done.
i've
seen a lot, i've felt a lot,and out of all that, i've made the
executive decision that no matter what, I'm going down LOVING!
because that's the scariest and most truthful place i can put myself.
so there it is.
oh yeah. and OF COURSE world domination and tyranny of the planet!
..heh heh heh heh...

The kinds of discoveries that are made through the practise have nothing to do with believing in anything. They have more to do with having the courage to die, the courage to die continually".
