The other day I was thinking about all the wonderful opportunities and experiences I have been blessed with through the studio I dance with, and so I decided I needed to make mention of one of them here: her name, is Zayna.
Of course, I'm more used to calling her Patty, but no matter what name she goes by, she's an all around wonderful person.
Not only is she one of best teachers I've ever been taught by, but, she's a great inspiration to me. She's patient, nurturing, and so good to her students. She can be very serious about what she's teaching, but at the same time, she knows just how to make everyone laugh. And I think that's really important in a learning atmosphere. There's such comfort and productivity in her class!!
Also, when she dances, she moves with carefree perfection, and a smile that lights up the entire stage. There's just something about her... she was born to dance, and it shows.
She's also one of most creative people I know. She's flowing over with all kinds of unique, and fascinating ideas, especially when it comes to dance. She's just... amazing :)
