I recently finished my phd in Literature at Queen's and am waiting to see if I pass and where the wind blows me. In the meantime I love to bellydance, go to literary events and spend time with the people I love. I drag myself to the gym out of my love of big dinners, but I'm sure as anything not pleased about it :P

Just a few words about what is going on as I am meant to be doing my thesis corrections but blatantly can’t be bothered. I don’t have many to do at all but I seem to be always able to find something less boring instead. They are due at the end of January so I’m trying to get as much as possible done now so I can have some Christmas fun and not be stuck at a keyboard when I should be getting wired into the EggNog. So, on Friday, as you know if you paid attention to my over excited status updates, I passed my Viva with minor corrections. This basically means that I have 3 months, but it won’t take that long, to amend a few things in my work. This basically means I have to add in more Foucault and a little extra Freud, then I can call myself Doctor. Forgive me for the self indulgence but I am in the library and too brain tired to work so I thought I’d let you know what’s going on with me right now. Firstly, let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way. My PhD Viva is on Friday and I’m pretty nervous…no matter how well things have gone thus far I have to be at least a little anxious because I care and I want my work to get out there.
