i am a 3 time burner (04, 05, 07) and it was love at first sight. the first year my now husband and i camped near center camp with the tribe. we helped to set up the ship to ship project which resided under the man in the dome. it was the interactive project where you would a message to beam into space with the giant spotlight. my father, playa name the wizard, is the designer of that project as well at l2k and l3k, the led light rings that surround the man each year. in 05 we camped with my fathers group, the mad scientists. we missed 06 because we stayed back to care for my nephew so that my sister could go. we camped at 3oclock and esplanade in 07 with our experience dome and had our first real project experience. it was full or trials and errors but it was very educational and challenging. most people were appreciative of our efforts before we had to shut down due to storm damage. i have been lucky enough to be an RC for the past few years and have helped to coordinate Scorched Nuts 07 and 08 and octOHburn 07. i am stepping away from the organizational side of things now that my son has arrived and my family prepares to move to florida in november.
