I have that pattern and the skirt pattern is good. The belt one works well too as long as you add extra reinforcing inside, an additional layer of a stiff material.

I am going to disagree about it being harder then Modern Dance. I have done both and the technique and flexibility required in bellydance was much higher then in Modern.
