My Testimonials

sweetmango is a great confidante and grounded and real. I like her for lunch, dinner, dancing and cavorting!

This is long overdue for an update.

Yes, she is still my Best Friend. Yes, she is probably the person who encourages me to think and change the most. Yes, she will be in my life for a long time. Yes, she is a Warrior, and everything I said before.

But, she has completed her masage degree and she is also a first-rate Healer. She fixes energy disruptions as well as strained and knotted muscles. She grounds me, centering my energy regardless of my physical, mental, or emotional state. She can do it just by talking to me, or eating dinner, or hanging out on her couch. I make it a practice to regularly check in with her, especially after I've had a destabilizing growth experience, and she reinforces the change and at the same time comforts me.

I love her.

WOW where does a person begin with giving a testimonial about Kristi?
She took a chance, inviting a stranger - a man in Oakland, CA (ghetto cap. of the world) to share a room across the hall from her own. As she said after her instincts provged herself well "I slept great". She put herself out there because she trusted not me but herself well enough.
And even still over a year and a half later, she still reminds me that I have never had a friend such as her.
Look up the word 'friend' in the dictionary, you'll find Kristi's picture.

Kristi is one of the warmest hearted humans I've ever met. She is so considerate of and concerned about those she loves it is truly amazing, yet she's able to remain grounded in her generosity of heart. She is wise beyond her years. But what truly sets her apart from all others is her incredible (and) quirky sense of humor! Soul sister you rock!

Kristi has been named the Best Friend, as she is entirely reliable in a crisis, and fun to be with, pretty much most of the time. She is a Warrior, a Berserker, and a damn good massage therapist-in-training.

I'm proud to know her.

My Blog

Many of you know I've been going through some stuff lately. Sort of a metaphorical heart-injury, like a strain or sprain - causing me to slow down a bit and reconsider some spiritual, emotional, relational, and practical issues. I've been really focused on taking care of myself, and asking for what I need - and I can tell my heart is healing, and growing and stretching, thanks to good self-care and support from loving friends (you know who you are!).

What I'm really needing right now - my ... read more

Wow - what an adventure! I'm super happy to be home and clean while writing this. I come home feeling a lot of gratitude, and although I didn't have the best time, I can't wait to do it again next year. This years' burn for me became about solving a problem - making sure we could get home. Almost everything I did was related to that. So, I didn't take any pictures (never got my camera out) and didn't do any playa mail or workshops like I would have liked to do. The best parts were: tra... read more

Just got this email from my mom:

You may have heard this before. I liked it and thought I'd pass it on.....

GOD is Busy

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling ... read more

The melody of this song is just as beautiful as the lyrics, and it really sums up my approach to relationships. Thank you, John Denver, for ALL the gifts you left us, including this one:

It's up to you
by John Denver

You can do whatever you want to do
Wherever you want to go it's up to you
And wouldn't it be fine
Following your heart, playing your own part

You and me out on a farm, let the sun be our alarm
Kickin' off your shoes, doin' what we choose
And wouldn't it be fine

You know at the end of the intro to Monty Python's Flying Circus, there's a foot that comes down on whatever's happening - with a splat and a sound I can't begin to spell... anyway, last Tuesday, it was like that foot squished me. Splat. Life was super overwhelming for a few hours and I became aware of the reality of some (maybe all?) of my fears.

I think I know what the triggers were. One, PMS - which usually doesn't affect me much, which is why this was pretty surprising to me. I'm... read more
