As I was cleaning my glass bench today I was struck by the waste and sharp pokey things I have created and will put into a sealed container and dump into a landfill. What a mess. We are messy creatures. Creating tons of stuff all the time. We leave a trail as we go thru life. I guess that is part of this existance. The hikers motto is ~ Take nothing but memories, Leave nothing but footprints~ That can work for a weekend or something but what about all the other time? Try going to the store and getting a few items. Wow what a lot of packaging of waste. You know the trail is not all physical either. We also leave a trail of impressions, interactions, and experiences. Most of them good I hope. It is hard to know sometimes what is the right thing to do or not to do. A famous director once told me ~We are a couple of threads weaving thru the fabric of Life~ I wonder what the blanket looks like where I have been?
