Matthew is an honest to goddess medicine bear. He has the perfect words, or the perfect crystals, or the perfect rhythm to feed you right as you need it. If you watch him walk you know that he is grounded in the earth, if you listen to him talk, you know that he is connected to the cosmos. An extrememly talented musician, this man knows about music...but even more, he knows about making his music to connect with others in ways that should not be called anything less than shamanic. Matthew has shown up in my life as a truly generous human being...he is a nurturer, he is an instigator, he is my dear friend.

The last 4 days were spend wandering, exploring, admiring, connecting, and being present in the Redwood forests of northern California... What an amazing gift to myself and family. To be in the presence with tallest, and oldest living organisms in the world was a humbling experience. There was contentment, there was peace, there was awe, there was wonder, there was living in the moment and the feeling of being free from worldly karmas. Seeing beyond the duality of life and death, that its energy transforming, that it is all life, creation in process. Plants die, trees fall, they decompose and provide rich nutrients for the living organisms to grow. This cycle has been happening for a long, long time... No good, no evil, no judgements. Just nature's mystery unfolding.... It occured to me that there is one thing that is really important in our short time here on Earth.... To assist in the evolution of humanity as a species. That's what we are here to do in our short 50 - 90 years (maybe more, hopefully not less). Contemplation: In what ways are we contributing to this evolution? I don't have a life. I AM LIFE! And so are you :) .....
