<div>My dad sent me this a while ago and i've been meaning to post it..

Laws

&amp; Law of Mechanical Repair
After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch or you'll have to pee.

&amp; Law of Gravity
Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

&amp; Law of Probability
The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

&amp; Law of Random Numbers
If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal.

&amp; Law of the Alibi
If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.

&amp; Variation Law
If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will start to move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).

&amp; Law of the Bath
When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.

&amp; Law of Close Encounters
The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.

&amp; Law of the Result
When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.

&amp; Law of Biomechanics
The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

&amp; Law of the Theater
At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last.

&amp; The Starbucks Law
As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

&amp; Murphy's Law of Lockers
If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.

&amp; Law of Physical Surfaces
The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug.

&amp; Law of Logical Argument
Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

&amp; Brown's Law of Physical Appearance
If the shoe fits, it's ugly.

&amp; Oliver's Law of Public Speaking
A closed mouth gathers no feet.

&amp; Wilson 's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy
As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

&amp; Doctors' Law
If you don't feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you'll feel better. Don't make an appointment and you'll stay sick.

<div>Well one bear anyway! My friend and I saw this beauty on by the road between Wells and Quesnel, BC.. We were on our way home after going to a Quilting retreat in Barkerville.
He/She was happily crazing like a furry cow at the side of the road.. He/She was not at all concerned about the cars that stopped at the side of the road to watch. I have never seen a grizzly before so it really was a thrill. We watched and took pictures for about 10 minutes.

<div>GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
and then I started to become a woman.

And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,
God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, "Let's cry together,"
another, "Let's fight together,"
another, "Let's walk away together."

One friend will meet your spiritual need,
another your shoe fetish,
another your love for movies,
another will be with you in your season of confusion,
another will be your clarifier,
another the wind beneath your wings

But whatever their assignment in your life,
on whatever the occasion,
on whatever the day,
or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair
pulled back,
or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself ..
those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman,
but for many, it's wrapped up in several...
one from 7th grade,
one from high school,
several from the college years,
a couple from old jobs,
on some days your mother,
on some days your neighbor,
on others, your sisters,
and on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years,
AND ONLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO,
pass this on to the women that God has placed in your life
to make a difference.</div>

Facing Threat Of Lawsuit, Sea-Tac Removes Christmas Trees

POSTED: 8:09 am PST December 11, 2006
UPDATED: 11:18 am PST December 11, 2006

SEATAC, Wash. -- Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky could think of one thing to improve the holiday display at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport: Add an 8-foot-tall menorah next to the tallest plastic Christmas tree welcoming international arrivals.

When he brought his request to airport managers, they not only denied it, but ordered maintenance workers to take down and box up all nine of the airport's Christmas trees. The work was done during the graveyard shift early Saturday morning, when airport bosses believed few people would notice.

"We decided to take the trees down because we didn't want to be exclusive," said airport spokeswoman Terri-Ann Betancourt. "We're trying to be thoughtful and respectful, and will review policies after the first of the year."

Sea-Tac director Mark Reis said he doesn't want the airport to be a battle ground in what has been called the "war on Christmas."

He said Monday that he would like to find a way to restore the Christmas trees and be culturally sensitive.

After consulting with lawyers, Port of Seattle staff believed that adding the non-ritual electric menorah would have required adding symbols for other religions and cultures in the Northwest. The holidays are the busiest season at the airport, Betancourt said, and staff didn't have time to play cultural anthropologists.

Bogomilsky, who made his request weeks ago, said he was appalled by the decision. He had hired his own lawyer and threatened to file a federal lawsuit if the port didn't add the menorah next to the trees, which had been festooned with red ribbons and bows.

"Everyone should have their spirit of the holiday. For many people the trees are the spirit of the holidays, and adding a menorah adds light to the season," said Bogomilsky, who works at the University District office of Chabad Lubavitch, a Jewish education group.

"They've darkened the hall instead of turning the lights up," said his lawyer, Harvey Grad. "There is a concern here that the Jewish community will be portrayed as the Grinch."

Hanukkah begins this Friday at sundown. Craig Watson, the port's chief lawyer, said Bogomilsky had threatened to file the lawsuit if the port didn't make a decision by the end of last week.

"It just wasn't going to get done before the threatened lawsuit was filed. They said they were on their way to the courthouse," Watson said. "We're not in the business of offending anyone, and we're not eager to get into a federal lawsuit with anyone."

Bogomilsky told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on Sunday that his group no longer intends to file a lawsuit, regardless of the outcome.

Port Commissioner John Creighton said he'd hoped the trees would come down "quietly." Instead, airline employees called television stations. Creighton said he's received several irate e-mails.

The issue may be reconsidered when commissioners meet again Tuesday night, Creighton told the Post-Intelligencer.

"I can think of at least three out of five commissioners who would like to see the trees back up," he said. </div>
