zarb or other goblet drums in the traditional
'across the lap style', ...outdoors,while wearing sandals
My left foot, being the 'forward foot', for the purpose of raising the drum off the lap, is sunburned in a
bothersome pattern. My right foot is fine as it was
pulled back beneath the chair i was sitting on.
Beware!! Sunblock your 'dominant' foot, my fellow
drummers!! This unfortunate excessive sun exposure occurred during a most lovely backyard hafla we had in EC last saturday....Thank you so much to the dancers and drummers and friends
who attended!! I know my tribe! :) e

Eric you crack me up! I'm glad the hafla went well and was thinking of you even though I couldn't attend this time.
In the future, don't foget sun block on your hairline during daylight hours too or that can be painfull, itchy and look like dandruff when you get sunburned and it flakes off! hee! (yeah experience counts for something!) Looking forward to seeing you in Frederick when you have time. Happy 4th of July! |

I'm allergic to the sun...I went to Hawaii and came back from 3 months there paler than when I went. I love SPF 70.
Eric, I will be back in MD from 7/25 to 8/7. Are you drumming publicly at any point in there? |

hello lovely. ugh, sunburned feet hurt!!! Hope you didn't have to put shoes back on any time soon :) So sorry to have missed the festivities. We had a couple of friend birthdays to celebrate this weekend. I hope you all had a blast. We missed you.
