about me
I am Portuguese-French-Chinese and was born in South Africa. I speak neither Portuguese, French or Chinese, well I do but its very beginner and have only done my French 1 in Varsity. I have a bottom lip piercing and would like more and a tattoo but I am scared so at the moment I just stare at the one I created with the fantasy of it being glorified on my upper arm. I drink tea, herbal tea with no milk and two sugars. I have two kids, Pacino and De Niro, one is a Pug and the other a rather speed fanatic Jack Russell. I love the responsibility and I love them too much and they sleep in the house far too often. I’m constantly searching and testing out what food product, what spice or sauce is giving me sores on my tongue. It’s rather annoying now. I love my chilli but cannot take curry and will cry in the corner when consuming some. I don’t really like chocolates that much but will snack due to social pressures. I don’t smoke and I don’t do drugs. I like wine but can only drink one glass, after that I’m completely useless and rather vulnerable. I try to stay healthy and I try to frequent the gym but its always clashing with my tv schedule and I really cant afford to miss any episodes of my favourite programs. I’ve had my heart broken three times, three times too many but I am blessed with the power of patience so shall wait for my soul mate and when I find her, shall give her a good spanking for taking so long. I’ve been to Brasil, watched a football match, sat in a church, snorkeled in Salvador and spent 7 nights on an island. Spent new years in Mozambique and rescued dozens of starfish on the Portuguese Island. I love traveling and hope to go to Bangkok, Cambodia and Vietnam in two months time. What I really want though is wooden flooring for my house. I listen to Enya and I listen to NIN and have a love affair with Sheryl Crow and Shirley Manson. I am the lone ranger. But a good looking one. Wink.

"Backbeat word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out...."
I saw this ages ago, loved every minute of it. Not so sure how accurate it is on the life of The Beatles, but its brilliantly told, fantastic soundtrack and oh so tragic.

I hate mornings, it’s such a stab of reality, sometimes I wish I’d never wake up. But then I’m reminded of Bellow’s post and how I must endure, how I must strive on coz each day is just a little step closer towards finding her. And so this post is dedica...

So it has been months since I’ve written anything in my blog …it seems to me that I’m only really inspired to write when tragedy comes knocking at my door. Having said that and given my absence in blogging one would say things are rather peachy on my side? Nah! I’ve just really been busy, preoccupied and most of all lazy and with lack of inspiration.
I was in Mozambique during New Years Eve. Mozambique is just above South Africa, about an hours flight from Johannesburg, I stayed in a 5 st...

When I graduated from high-school Ms.Nicolau scrabbled in my yearbook, “love many, trust few but always paddle your own canoe”.
Ms.Nicolau was (probably still is) an utterly gorgeous woman. She was my registration teacher when I first entered high-school; later on she became my geography teacher until the 10th grade. Beautiful, always patient, she knew how to get results without screaming or being stringent. I think the fact that she was the closest teacher nearer to our age groups made he...

I so rock at my talent of just switching off. I’ve been alone long enough to not care and to be patient enough for the right opportunity, things will happen on its own. But right now I’m pretty proud that I’ve resisted contact, resisted urges and resisted peeking. I don’t care, somewhere lost in lyrics is the line that reminds us that we are not bigger than the universe that includes you, me and us.
So at the speed of thought I harness the ability to switch off with no care. You, they, I a...
