My Blog
been a long time gone
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 3:48 PMSo much has changed in a few short months-
sold my home in June-
completed a divorce soon after -
bought a motor home -
sold both pickups -
traveled to San Diego to stay for the winter - got caught up in the fires..
lingered about and decided to return north in time for winter :-)
Got settled in north Nevada again (still living in the motor home)..
Have insulated to reasonable comfort level and tarped the RV for the leaks not to mention the two dozen tie downs for the wind that comes through here... .. very hillbilly Hilton but comfortable enough for the winter for me......
Picked up a temp commuter car until i can find a more suitable tow able small pickup. (I think that's the plan)
wondering just exactly it is I'm doing - where going- what life do I want to build and where...
i suspect these answers will come as my spirit catches up with me...
Good to be back on tribe though- feel at least virtual connection.
Cheers and .. happy 2008

Jeannie! Congrats and welcome home. I wish you'd been online when you were in San Diego, I'm not too far from there, and I would have loved to have met you.

Garsh-- thanks for the invites :-)
I suspect I will be down again sometime soon... maybe next winter..... and next time my mind won't be so cluttered and distracted... may be better able to plan a bit... I was really on the fly this trip no idea what i was doing... I was invited to Yuma as well.. not sure why i chose winter here (lol) but it is 'home' and I probably needed the healing time space etc... looking forward to adventures and meeting one day. |

Nide to hear your spreading your wings again, I am a firm believer that change is good even if not for the better at least it keeps us moving, hopefully forward.
N Nevada is a great place to be, I find myself missing it more and more since coming back to AK, I think I will spend next month down there- Reno/Tahoe. One of my dearest freinds spent a few years in a motorhome with a small satelite dish that kept her connected to the internet and her job, I was so jealous. She did exactly that, towed a small truck for getting around, it all worked out very well. Love the duct tape, gives it that 'Homey' look, LOL ;) |
