Winter
(blog entry)
It comes through the trees and across the straits with a blinding chill that slaps you awake. There is ice and I imagine that if I take time for the moment my feet will stick. The most traumatic experience is not the cold but the energy in the peo...

Ah the western red cedar, my favourite smell indeed. I am feeling freer here in the "Tribe" than in my other blogetry sites, it's because it's a different club. In the other places it is even an effort to say "hello." I had a Roger Waters moment w...

My Statue
(blog entry)
I guess that rereading the Constitution of the United States is always a good excercise for any who feel they live in a world of statues. I savoured the moment on the Mall looking up at words chiselled into stone. There waxes hope, this wanes only...

It's a flavourful weather report for sure. On the whole we've had more sunlight than the entire year. I'm locked down in phishy verbs and pronouns and laughable syn-taxs, locked down in dark and letters. The attention in editing and translating ...

It comes through the trees and across the straits with a blinding chill that slaps you awake. There is ice and I imagine that if I take time for the moment my feet will stick. The most traumatic experience is not the cold but the energy in the people who cope with the cold. They are frantic (especially the drivers and those in a rush) and what is left out is the smile. I admire the smile.
There is kindness in Winter. The careful hand that assures that the elderly will not fall is a preposi...

In the other places it is even an effort to say "hello." I had a Roger Waters moment when I asked "how someone's weekend was, if it was good," and they wanted me to define good. Win the lotto, he did not; car accident, he did not have.
Today, I got to smell that rainy forest smell, the cedar smell, and density I love in Autmn. I h...

I guess that rereading the Constitution of the United States is always a good excercise for any who feel they live in a world of statues. I savoured the moment on the Mall looking up at words chiselled into stone. There waxes hope, this wanes only with doubt. That time when revolution had brought new hope and change to America was a time without statues. It was a time of action and new ideals being placed.
I feel that we are living in simmilar times when the disatisfied are awakening the s...

It's a flavourful weather report for sure. On the whole we've had more sunlight than the entire year. I'm locked down in phishy verbs and pronouns and laughable syn-taxs, locked down in dark and letters. The attention in editing and translating ideas into something readable is a solid experience for me right now. Anyways this can be more than slightly odd pouring into the long ballads and short fiction; but I do it. Its been a while since I haven't been exhilerated. Mostly everything is cu...
