The MEDA convention was absolutely wonderful!!!!! Amel was the best....This was my first convention. I have only been dancing about a year and want to learn all I can. I enjoy all of the different styles and Amel's was totally different. I was facinated. She gave so much history behind the dance and the music of each different style of dance that she demonstrated.

about me
I have always danced...since I was 3....ballet, jazz, pointe, tap....as a teenager, I went to weekend dances and loved to jitterbug (now called the swing)...I didn't dance for yearssssssss.........then 2 years ago I started doing country/western competition dancing. From that I got interested in Latin dancing and now do that on a recreational basis about twice a month and also participate, when I can, in a Latin Dance Therapy class...sooooo much fun!!!!! I discovered bellydance a year ago and I am hooked....I want to learn all I can about the different kinds of bellydance..right now I am interested in learning more about tribal....
