Brain Cheer
Dear Beauty/Cosmetics Industry, FUCK YOU!
It happens to all of us...at some point or another. You are walking through the mall/drug store/department store and a twinge of insecurity hits you...maybe more than a twinge. Suddenly, you are compelled to buy overpriced and ineffective wrinkle cream, face goo, body whatever in the subconscious and carefully marketed hope that somehow, some way, this shit is going to make a difference in your life. That perhaps the latest age reversal creme will make you look and feel 20 again, that if you use it, you will look like the waif thin 18 year old model in the ad. Why, oh why, can't our culture just embrace us for our beautiful selves? Why all this need to reverse, perfect, ovehaul, primp, and augment? Save your money. And save yourself. I think that the more we look for imperfections in ourselves to fix, the more we will find and create. I call for a revolution! Find reasons to celebrate yourself. To love the body you have. The truth is, you can make your own body care for a fraction of the price, without shitty chemicals and without donating any more of your time, energy, or money to an industry that is out to do one thing and one thing only...MAKE YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF SO YOU WILL SPEND MONEY ON THEIR PRODUCTS.

Yay! I started my own buisiness!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am somewhat of a crafty lady, and am prone to making my own jewelry and such. I was always getting frustrated with the fact that most mainstream jewelry never seemed to be anything that I wanted to wear, and on the rare occaision I found something nifty, it was always freakishly overpriced. I found myself hissing, "I could totally make that!" all the time, so now I am!I am happy to anounce the humble begining of Rebecca Henry Originals, my jewelry design company. I will be launching my first line next month, with website soon to follow! For now, until I can figure out the in's and out's of building my website, my creations can be found on Etsy.com.
I am currently able to take commisions for custom work for all those who may want something special!

I already can! I have a secret time machine, but I am only sharing with select few!
11. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day- what would you be?
Today's selection would be the noble Bumblebee. It sounds like a sweet gig, defying areonautical physics with each flight, you get to fly around and collect pollen off of lovely flowers, you are cute and fuzzy, and you have a stinger if worse comes to worse.
12. Ever had a near death experience?
I fell through an ice hole in a lake in Alaska when I was three. Brrrrr.

I avoid corporate coffee, but in a pinch I will order a meduim sugar free vanilla latte. None of that Grande shit. Next time you are in there, order a small, medium, or large of something and note how many times they correct you with Tall, Grande, or whatever. Weird.
22. What’s your biggest secret?

Sun warmed skin, sans any other fragrance
Pavement just after it starts to rain
My ever growing perfume collection
Puppy breath
Damp forests
Old books (and some new. I love wandering around in libraries and just sniffing)
Food baking in the oven of someone who loves you
Rubber
The Becca Relocation Project
So, here's the deal. I am looking for a new place to live, but I don't want to spend every dime I make on it because thus far, that has been a drag! I am looking for any of the following;1. Someone to rent my livingroom which has a fireplace and a closet and a door (unlike some livingrooms!) so that it's private for $650.00 a month. BUT! the person can't be a psycho, messy, a drama queen (unless it's entertaining!) a flake, unemployed (unless you can still magically pay your rent on time), a bummer, or generally a lame ass.
2. A lovely and affordable studio that is hopefully not in the Tenderloin, in the $800-850 range
3. A room for rent in the $600-700 range
Thanks!
Becca
