At long last! I finally got to go to Dickens this past weekend. Yet another of those things I've wanted to do for ages, yet never got to it - for any number of reasons. How wonderfully fun!! Think I'll just make this an annual event.

Aside from being in a borrowed costume, which skirt was entirely too narrow, and the sleeves.... BUT!! I made an attempt, and have already started on next year's dress (an absolutely lovely pea-green bird's eye pique!)

Miranda and I could have spent the entire time dancing - Really!! I've never been in the presence of so many men who can, and will, dance. And manners!! Oh - we've so lost that grace.

Silly - but one of the high points of my day was finally, ever so briefly, getting to meet Rydell. The man is fast becoming one of my idols and aspirations! His costumes are always top-notch, and his acting and projection, etc., etc. Just a WOW, all-around, consumate actor. It was truly an honor.
