about me
Lielani is a novice belly dancer. I am taking tribal and cabaret under 2 different teachers. I am obsessed with belly dancing. I enjoy the sense of sisterhood & community in tribal. Luxuriate in the freedom of cabaret. I am an outdoors person when the weather is warm. Enjoy rollerblading, tennis, biking, walking and hiking. I was borned in Hawaii but my parents moved when I was a baby to the Northeast. Every so often I make it back to Hawaii. Hawaii no ka oi. (Hawaii is the best.)

My Recent Activity

Blessings,

My Blog

Performed in my 2nd tribal recital. This one went much better than 1st. We performed further up front in the venue. There were not as many performers. I was more at ease. Everything went smoothly. Didn't feel as tense. Wew! All the perfomers were great. The students and the pros! It was great to watch them in between my performance. Oh, the fun of getting all dresses up in hair, makeup and costume because it's all so still new for me!
Seeing all my buddies and all the other ladi... read more

CHEROKEE SEASONS
Lessons on Life

There was an Indian Chief who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest.., in turn.., to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer, and the youngest son in the Fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that... read more
