The search

<div>I'm beginning my last semester of school. Problem is, I'm not sure exactly what type of work I'll get myself into with my first job out of college.

My degree focuses on media. I have a coworker who has a friend that works for Comcast, and used to work for ESPN as a producer, and says he can connect me with some people to give that a try. And it does sound like it would be fun. However, the hours suck and the pay probably wouldn't be that great. The pay, I don't care about, but the schedule seems a little daunting.

The other option for me is to progress at my current job. I work at a bank, and I could move into being a personal banker, make slightly better money, and have bankers' hours and a ton of paid holidays-- which would be sweet. The good thing about that option is that I can continue to write, record and perform music, which has been such a large part of my life up until now, and will probably continue to be.

The other part of the story is that I'm working with the career services department at school to help me with networking for the job search, and preperation for interviewing, writing, etc.

Its odd to be considering jobs in different fields in this way. But in my experience, I always do well on the job interviews that I really don't want. The minute I think I want the job, I start choking on answers and beating around the bush. But if I walk in there thinking that I'll decline the job even if they offer it to me, I find I do ver well. How's that for an inhibition?</div>
