*This is a poem I wrote years back and just ran across some of the reviews I had gotten....I was on Poets' Workshop.

My Spirit Guide (copyright: 2004)

At 2:00 a.m. I awoke with a start
There was an old wizard standing looking
at my art
I oil paint...it's a hobby of mine
He said in a voice I almost recognized "I
like your design"
"Do I know you?" I had to ask him
I could only see him a little....the light was
so dim
He said "My dear girl, I am your Spirit Guide"
" I am Pendracco...the answers you seek I
will provide"
I smiled at the old wizard and said "I must be
dreaming...you're a character in my head"
"Oh I am, am I?" he said with a smile
"I've been with you all the while"
"Didn't you ever wonder where you got the name?"
"You sensed me with you...I'm on and the same"
