The past sneaks up on everyone, I know that. I'm not the only one who's blast from the past sent them for a loop. And not to say that my present is all that bad. I love my present. But its interesting to me how I can look back and see how much I've changed and how much I haven't.

Its official.... tomorrow framing begins on my studio. My very own creative space. *grin*gush* I feel so blessed and excited I feel as though I'm going to wet myself. Lumber was dropped off this afternoon. Hard to believe that random pile will become a structure.

Snow

They kept saying it would come, but after being lied to for so long I quit believing. But what do you know, you give up home and here it is. Snow. Thick, Heavy Snow. Amazing how so many things stop. Plans change three times and then cancel. All anyone wants to do is sit and watch it- personally I don't have the patience for that, but I sure do love the excuse for a cozy fire. I'm finally getting into the Halloween spirit or Samhain if you prefer. Usually I get all into it months before, but with so many changes in my life I just couldn't get into it. But here it comes, I'm ready!

Time for change. From packed schedules and deadlines to the ease of fall. I'm ready. Sooooooooooooooooooooo ready! Easing into that comfort, like slipping into a hot bath. You want it, you are ready for it, but that tinge holds you back. Jolts you to consider. Until you surrender and plunge. Plunge deep. 4 more days and I get the house back. House guests have been tag teaming in my spare room since April. Fun at first, but now I want to be able to walk through my living room without having to explain myself (how was your day, what's for dinner, whatcha doing later). Not bad, but still chatter. Has anyone ever heard of comfortable silence? I love silence. let me clarify. Love music. Not small talk.

Options

Ever find that there are times in life when you feel you have no other option but to bare down (or beer down as the case may be) and move fwd. without looking. And other times when every time you look around another option comes into play. Decisions aren't really my forte. Though blindly moving forward isn't necessarily appealing either. I think mostly I just find myself somewhere, not really knowing what happened to get me there.

Is it in the air?

or am I at such an altitude that its just thinner up here- causing problems. The tension and frantic pace is getting to be a little more than usual. People having little to no patience with one another, intolerance and miss communication abound. I need a vacation.
