I finally got the chance to meet Cathy this past weekend during a workshop she hosted and I think she's great. I also got a chance to see her dance at the hafla at her studio on Saturday night and I can say that I could tell how passionate she is about dancing. She dances like nobody is watching and sets a great example for all dancers....to show your passion in dance and have fun. I look forward to meeting with her again in the future. I had a great weekend and she made that happen. Thanks Cathy :)

I can tell you all that, as one who has performed onstage with Cathy (no, I am not a belly dancer --- just a trumpet guy!), her events are well thought out and the dance routines superbly choreographed. This is not to diminish the talent she attracts which, in themselves, are consummate performers that could appear on any stage in the world.

But there is a certain "electricity" in the air at a Folkloric event which emanates and radiates from its founder to the dancers & musicians and, consequently, into each audience that attends. I look forward to collaborating with her in the future, always grateful for her inspiration and positive, uplifting spirit....

she does A LOT in the community and spreads herself thin for many causes, she's always on the go! she is helping Buffalo gain the support for the arts that it so desperately needs...
one of the few die hards left of TRUE dance Oriental, you cannot go wrong in her classes...you will get an awesome workout to help your dance before your class AND the instruction you need to become the dancer you want...
her dances are carefully researched to be authentic to the form and are a joy to perform, she always adds a new touch to each show, and has the audience craving their favorite dances...(I could never grow tired of the village dance, there is a new twist to it each time!)

she runs a tight ship and has a wonderful group of women in her troupe...their hard work shows at each show...

I consider myself fortunate to have this lovely woman in my life...
